Abstract

Making the RTRW map for Land Use in Sragen Regency in 2010 - 2030, there is a mismatch of the existing land potential, where there is a discrepancy of 155.20 km2 (16.49%). This discrepancy occurs because the area designation on the RTRW map does not match the land potential, where one of them is land with high potential on the RTRW map designated for settlement. The incompatibility of the RTRW map can also occur in Sleman Regency, because based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Sleman Regency has decreased the area of paddy fields by 26.79% from 2013 - 2018 and has decreased groundwater levels of 15-30 cm each year. (ESDM DIY, 2011). Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the RTRW map of Sleman Regency based on the Agricultural Land Potential Index (IPL) to determine the suitability of the distribution of spatial patterns on the RTRW map to its land potential. This study aims to: (1) determine the level of IPL in Sleman Regency, (2) determine the distribution of IPL in Sleman Regency, and (3) determine the suitability of RTRW based on IPL. The method used in this research is to overlay the Spatial Pattern RTRW map of Sleman Regency with the agricultural Land Potential Index (IPL) map. The method used to carry out the conformity analysis is subjective matching. The IPL assessment is carried out by overlaying the scoring results on the parameters of topography, lithology, soil type, hydrology, and vulnerability to erosion. The classification used in the IPL assessment is the classification by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Based on the classification used, land potential is divided into four classes, namely, very high, high, medium, and low classes. All data processing and compilation of results are carried out using a Geographic Information System (GIS). The results obtained from this study are the Land Potential Index Map and the Spatial Pattern RTRW Evaluation Map Based on the Land Potential Index of Sleman Regency. Based on these results, Sleman Regency consists of four IPL classes, namely the very high class of 23,033.37 Ha (40.29%), the high class of 24,123.19 Ha (42.2%), the moderate of 7,691.80 Ha (13 , 46%), and the low class is 2,315.87 Ha (4.05%). The results of the evaluation of the Spatial Pattern RTRW map for 2011-2031 based on IPL for suitable agriculture amounted to 25,138.05 ha (81.18%), and not suitable for 5,828.44 ha (18.82%), while for non-agriculture it was 4.179. 23 ha (15.95%), and 22,020.48 (84.05%) unsuitable.
