Abstract

This study aims to describe the process, effectiveness, constraints and solutions to the socialization by using audio visual and modification of the Reading Guide Point Counterpoints Combination strategy to improve understanding of Indonesian Democratic values in youth Karang Taruna Bonomerto Village Suruh District Semarang Regency. This study used an experimental method that was of a pre-experimental type with one group pretest posttest design. This research was conducted in the Bonomerto Village, Suruh District, Semarang Regency using a sample of 20 people. Data collection techniques in this study used tests and observations. Test the validity of the test instruments in this study using the rough number Correlation Product Moment formula. Test the reliability of the test instrument using the formula KR20. The prerequisite test in this study used the normality test. Data analysis using T-Test. The average value of Pretest 66.75 increased to 78 at Posttest. Based on the results of the two data are then compared so that the difference between Pretest and Posstest 11.25 is obtained. Based on these results it can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed by Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in understanding the values of Indonesian Democracy in the youth of Karang Taruna, Bonomerto Village, Suruh District, Semarang between before (Pretest) and after being given treatment (Posttest) using audio visual and modification of the Reading Guide Point Counterpoint combination strategy for youth in Karang Taruna, Bonomerto Village, Suruh District, Semarang Regency.
