Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze whether pressure influences the academic cheating behavior of accounting students. To analyze whether rationalization affects the academic cheating behavior of accounting students. To analyze whether opportunity influences the academic cheating behavior of accounting students. (capability) affects the academic cheating behavior of accounting students. The population in this study were S1 students of the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta class of 2015-2017 who were still active. While the sample of S1 students in the Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta from 204-2017 was 92 respondents. The sampling technique uses convenience sampling method. Based on the results of the analysis note that the pressure variable has an individual and negative influence on academic cheating. The opportunity variable has an individual and positive influence on academic cheating. The rationalization variable has no individual and negative influence on academic cheating. The ability variable has no individual and positive influence on academic cheating.
