Abstract
Community resilience is the community's ability to reduce disaster hazards and recover quickly by minimizing social disruption and reducing the impact of future disasters and being able to cope with disasters. Cangkringan sub-district is one of the areas affected by the lava flood disaster from the eruption of volcano Merapi where the conditions of community settlements that were flooded due to the impact of the lahar flood made the community have to make adjustments to the disaster itself. community resilience is one example of a form of community adaptation that resides in disaster prone areas. This study was conducted to determine the spatial distribution of community resilience in Cangkringan Sub-District towards the threat of lahar flood disaster and to identify the factors that affect the level of spatial distribution of community resilience in Cangkringan Sub-District towards the disaster. The method used in this research is qualitative and quantitative descriptive using the concept of Climate Disaster Resilience Initiative (CDRI) which consists of 5 variables such as: physical-infrastructure variables, social variables, economic variables, institutional variables, and natural variables. Based on the results of research conducted using 5 variables from CDRI the level of community resilience is divided into 3 categories: Very low, medium, and very high. Kepuharjo Villages have a very low level categories of community resilience , the second level which medium category is Wukirsari Village, and the last is the village with very high level of community resilience consisting of 3 villages, among others: Argomulyo Village, Glagaharjo Village, and Umbulharjo Village, other than that the social variable is the most influential variable in assessing the level of community resilience to the threat of lava flood disaster in Cangkringan District.
