Abstract
Changes in land use cannot be avoided in the process of implementing regional development. Boyolali Regency is a research area that is inseparable from the process of land use change. The right time can describe changes in an area. In 2013 and 2019, it was chosen because in that time period Boyolali Regency have experienced many progress. In 2013, the government center of Boyolali Regency moved from Boyolali to Mojosongo. In 2019 Boyolali regency had expansion from 19 sub-districts to 22 sub-districts. Evolution of the Geographic Information System (GIS) be used in this study for the application of visualization land use change in StoryMaps. The purpose of this study is to analyze the areas have experienced the highest land use change in Boyolali Regency in 2013 and 2019, to analyze the factors causing land use change based on spatial data processing and to visualize maps of land use change and the results of the analysis in StoryMaps. The method used is a qualitative approach and then presented in StoryMaps visualization results. The method of analysis uses overlay analysis of land use resulting from interpretation Landsat 8 OLI imagery. The results of this study showed that the types of land use in 2013 and 2019 were airports, forests, rice fields, bushes, moor, gardens, settlements, industrial buildings, reservoirs and toll roads. The type of land use is obtained based on digitization with the classification of the Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) 7645: 2010 scale of 1: 250,000. The most land use change at Kemusu Subdistrict was reservoirs into moor. The reservoir in 2013 covered an area of 1,863,492 Ha to 1,510,694 Ha in 2019. These changes are caused by natural factors such as drought. Subdistricts of Mojosongo and Cepogo are next areas with high land use changes, land use changes was moor and settlement. This change is caused by population growth and developments in the area. The results of maps and analysis are displayed in storymaps with an attractive and interactive display.
