Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of acid-base practice in SMP Negeri 3 Klaten. This research using qualitative research with etnograph approach. The data collection used interview method, observation, and documentation. Validity of the data with triangulasi of sources and technique. The data analysis model used is an interactive data analysis model from Miles and Hubermen. Data analysis through data collection phase, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The result of this research is acid-base practice planning begins with a meeting with the cognate teacher. The teacher prepares on his own of the tools and materials because there is no the laboratory. Teachers also create student’s sheet activity (LKS) to guide students in doing practice The implementation of the acid-base practice was done in 3 steps, those are early practice, core practice, and final practice. At the early practice stage, the teacher gave appperception and motivation. At the core stage, the teacher directly facilitates the activity. The evaluation of Science practice is conducted when it is in progress and after it is finished. The evaluation of the conduct of the practice performed by teachers by observing directly students' methods when conducting the practice. The evaluation after practice activities are done by assessing the result of student’s sheet activity (LKS) which has been filled up by the students. Evaluation is carried out in order to measure how successful the practice done by the students and as a guidance to improve the following practice.
