Abstract

Supply and demand forms a complex network which then becomes a market system, the market becomes a vital object for the development of people's lives and becomes an area of high significance to the development of patterns of human interaction. Thus, each time theories develop that are used to help a business unit to dissect the market. Unilever as a multinational company has a uniqueness in dissecting the market, oriented to the corporate social responsibility movement which is incorporated in and becomes a holistic formulation of the company, the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP). In this research, the researcher examines the picture of the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, trying to find the impact of CSR-oriented activities as a company development using holistic marketing, social marketing, competitive advantage and a set of other theories, trying to find something obtained by the company through business strategy oriented to charity activities to the local market in Indonesia.
