Abstract

Chili is a vegetable that has high economic value, so that many farmers cultivate chilies. But chili cultivation is not easy, there are many things that must be considered, such as soil fertility, temperature and humidity, light, soil pH, climate, and rainfall. The method that does not depend on the season is the hydroponic method. This study aims to determine the effect of POC with the composition of leri and lamtoro leaves on the growth of cayenne pepper and red chili using the hydroponic method. This type of research is an experimental study with a completely randomized design method (CRD) factorial with two treatment factors. The first factor was the concentration of POC with the composition of leri and lamtoro leaves (POC 15%, POC 30%, and POC 45%). The second factor is the type of plant (cayenne pepper and red chili plants). The results showed that there was a significant effect on the growth rate of plant height and number of leaves in cayenne pepper and red chili peppers. The conclusion of this research is the growth of plant height and number of leaves found in K3P2 treatment (POC 45% in red chili plants) with a plant height of 3.67 cm and a number of leaves 4.00 leaves.
