Abstract
Modes of online transportation, especially the Go-Car in this modern era has become one of the main choices and its existence has now mushroomed in the city of Surakarta. Not a few people are interested, even leaving their old job to become a Go-Car Driver. This study aims to (1) Analyze the distribution patterns of Go-Car temporary bases in Surakarta City (2) Analyze the socioeconomic characteristics of Go-Car drivers in Surakarta City. This research method in the form of a survey with interviews using questionnaire sheets, with sampling techniques in the form of stratified quota sampling. Data analysis technique uses the nearest neighbor analysis and quantitative descriptive qualitative. The results obtained in the form of a temporary Base Go - Car Driver around the city of Surakarta has a clustered pattern (Clustered). The grouping was formed following the centers of community activities, such as shopping centers, educational facilities, health facilities, transport facilities, trade facilities and services. Based on the social characteristics of the Go - Car Driver most are high school / vocational level equivalents. Most of the Go-Car Drivers are following the community because of the encouragement of up-to-date information needs and a sense of concern for fellow Go-Car Drivers. Based on economic characteristics in terms of employment status as a Go - Car Driver, the majority are main and side jobs, respectively 62% and 38%. In terms of income there are indications that there is an increase in income which is influenced by the change of the profession into a Go - Car Driver. In terms of the number of dependents, the family that bore the most was 2 to 3 family members, amounting to 47.8%, followed by the Go-Car Driver who did not have dependents amounting to 34.4%. Based on the driving factors, the Go - Car Driver makes this work a side job outside of its main job. This relates to factors or reasons to increase income and utilize time. Judging from the driving factors in choosing the location of activities, the Go - Car Driver tends to get closer to the centers of community activities therein. The opportunity to get consumers is greater than in a quiet area of activity.
