Abstract

Caring for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder disorders cause problems so parents need to overcome these problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the fighting abilities of parents with ASD children. This research was conducted with a phenomenological approach and involved four informants who had different characteristics. The problems faced by parents of ASD children are the social environment of the community, facing tantrum children, economic problems, maintaining the child's attitude when in public places, facing the puberty of children, parents' personal health problems, and parenting cooperation with partners. Supporting factors for the struggle of parents of ASD children are community environment supportive, gratitude, support from family, trust in the greatness of God, and a sense of responsibility to care for their children.
