Abstract

Controlling costs is certainly not easy given the magnitude of the risks and responsibilities faced. Therefore, the adaptation process is needed to be able to carry out their duties properly. This research wants to describe the experience of the adaptation process of individuals working on construction projects in cost control positions. The study uses the phenomenological method to obtain an explanation of the adaptation process experienced by employees who work on the construction cost control project. Based on the results of the study found that things that need adaptation are about working hours. The adaptation made is the willingness to learn and communication. Meanwhile the factors that influence the adaptation process are commitment, motivation, positive beliefs, work experience, and teamwork.
