Abstract

Math problems are given to students to train themselves in the ability to think and to know the level of thinking each student has. The mathematical problem solving is influenced by the students ' thinking skills level. The purpose of this research is to analyze students ' high-level thinking skills in solving PISA-oriented mathematical problems reviewed from the learning style. Type of research method mix method with design Concurrent Triangulation Strategy. The population of all students in grade X SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta samples on several students ' research in the population. Sample getter techniques using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using interviews, documentation, and tests. Research result: 1) There is no difference in the ability to learn visual, auditorial and kinaesthetic students in solving the PISA-oriented mathematics problem. 2) There are 23 students who have a visual learning style or 70% of the population. 30% of them are in high category, 44% medium category, and 26% low category. 3) There are 8 students who have auditorial learning style or 24% of the population. 62.5% of them are in medium category, and 37.5% low category. 4) There are two students who have a kinaesthetic learning style, both students one in the category of medium and one in the low category.
