Abstract
Production equipment at UKM Batik Pandono is still simple. Product redesign is needed to get a work station that is comfortable and as needed. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is one method that can be used in product design. The design is based on the needs of the operator. Based on direct observation workers work in a bent position during the production process due to the form of work stations that are not ergonomic. The purpose of this study is to redesign batik coloring work stations based on the QFD method and analyze work postures by designing simulation models and calculating work posture assessment scores for operators in batik coloring work stations using virtual environments in the software jack. Based on the QFD method, the batik coloring station attributes that can meet the operator's needs are lightweight frames, dry floors, indoor fabric drying processes, flexible work station expanded frames, height of the frame holder, drying does not take place and the tool is able to reduce the workload. After being redesigned based on the above attributes, an evaluation on the posture preparing the dye and fabric coloring using the Posture Evalution Index (PEI) method.
