Abstract
Abstract This study aims to describe the accuracy, compatibility, protection and solution of the use of Group strategies Continuing the Mind Mapping collaboration to improve understanding of Indonesian Democratic values in VIII-A grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta in the academic year 2019/2020. This study uses a pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest Posttest Design design and uses all samples using 20 people. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, observations, and interviews. The test instrument uses content validity cited using the rough number Product Moment Correlation formula. Reliability of the test instrument using the formula KR 20. Test the normality of the data of this study using Kolmogorof Smirnov with the calculation of the normality of pretest and posttest test data. The normality test in Pretest obtained the largest [f (x)-s(x)] value <Kolmogorov Smirnov table value or 0.1831 <0.29407, which means that H_O was accepted, while the Posttest normality test was obtained [f(x)-s(x)] largest <Kolmogorov Smirnov table value or 0.2080 <0.29407, which means H_O is accepted. Based on the results of these two tests of normality it can be concluded that the results of the Pretest and Posttest scores are thus normally distributed. Data analysis using T-test. The results showed that the t-test 12,148 was greater than t-table 2,086 with a significance level of 0.05. The average value of Pretest 48.5 increased to 72.75 at Posttest. Based on the results of the two Pretest and Posttest data, the difference in difference values is then obtained by 24.25. Based on the results that can be concluded from the hypothesis proposed H_O rejected and H_a accepted, meaning that there are differences in the values of Indonesian Democracy in class VIII A students of SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta in the 2019/2020 academic year between before ( Pretest) and after asking for help (Posttest) using the Mind Mapping Group Resume collaboration strategy. The difference between increasing understanding of Indonesian Democratic values between before (Pretest) and after being given approval (Posttest) using the Mind Mapping Collaboration Group Resume strategy in class VIII A students of SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta in the 2019/2020 school year. Based on the conclusion above, it implies to be high can use the Mind Mapping Collaboration Resume strategy. Keywords: indonesian democracy, group resume, mind mapping.
