Abstract
Increasing the value of the company is a goal to be achieved by the company to attract many investors. The value of the company is considered very important because it becomes a reference for investors to the level of success of the company. Company value can be influenced by profitability as a material for investor consideration. In addition, investors also see the form of corporate social responsibility. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability on company value which is moderated by corporate social responsibility. The population in this study is LQ-45 companies registered in BEI 2015-2018. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling whose criteria are determined by researchers, so that there are 23 companies that meet the criteria of the sample. The results showed that profitability proxied by return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE) had no effect on firm value, and Corporate social responsibility can strengthen the relationship between return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE) to firm value.
