Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of charcoal sono keling results from collision of ball milling machines and further heating. In this study the test material used for the manufacture of nanoparticles was derived from sono keling which is the result of the carbonization process of sono keling plants. The research process uses a HEBM machine type shaker mills with a motor speed of 900 Rpm, with a cycle of 2.5 million cycles with a size of a steel ball pounder that is sized 1/4 inch. From the results of the collision using a shaker mill type HEBM machine, the particles were then subjected to a further heating process for 60 minutes at a temperature of 300oC and tested using PSA,SEM-EDX testing. In the PSA test, the smallest particle size obtained was 615. From the SEM test, it can be seen that the shape of a small particle has a round shapeimperfect and there is also a clumping of particles. From the EDX test conducted there are 7 component elements in the test sample material in which the carbon element is very dominant in particles compared to other elements Keywords:
