Abstract
This study aims to determine the distribution of the level of vulnerability of landslides and adaptation strategies of farming communities that are appropriate and efficient in dealing with landslides in the Samin Sub-watershed. The method used in this research is secondary data analysis and observation methods in the field. Secondary data consists of rainfall data over the past 10 years at 5 rainfall station points, land use data, slope data, soil type data, geological formation data, and landform data. From the results of the distribution map, the level of vulnerability to land slides in the Samin Sub-watershed obtained 3 (three) classes of land slides, namely low, medium and high classes. Low landslide vulnerability level has a distribution area of 15,977,395 ha with a percentage of 46%. The level of landslide vulnerability has a distribution area of 17,238,754 ha with a percentage of 50%. The level of high landslide vulnerability has a distribution area of 1,487,590 ha with a percentage of 4%. Based on the results of interviews conducted with 50 respondents, it was found that the adaptation strategy of the farming community in the Samin Sub-watershed to prevent or reduce the potential for landslide disasters was dominated by the strategy of making a dike to hold a landslide.
