Abstract
This study aims: (1). Describe the business center at SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. (2). Forming students' entrepreneurial mentality through the business center at SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta.(3). Explain the factors that influence the formation of students' entrepreneurial mentality through a business center at SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. Type of qualitative research. The research design used an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity is done by source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques using an interactive model with steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions / verification of data. The results showed that, (1) the business center at SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta was shaped like a shop / minimarket located in the front yard of the school as a place to study student business, there is already a manager managed by the teacher appointed by the school to manage the business center, the practice system in the business center has 2 stages, the facilities provided schools, both facilities and infrastructure provided such as shelves, storefronts, coolers, air conditioners, cashiers and CCTV, the school also cooperates with well-known institutions / companies. (2) Forming students' entrepreneurial mentality which includes instilling entrepreneurial values that are applied in practice, leadership, creative, time management, discipline, enjoying work and supervision as well as mentoring from entrepreneurship teachers and business center managers. Cultivation of entrepreneurial values that are applied in practice through PKKWU subjects (creative and entrepreneurial products) as well as display subjects, mental leadership is demonstrated through XI grade students guiding younger class X when practicing, creativity is formed through student ideas in attracting consumers such as giving discount and manufacture of parcels of goods. time management by means of students being able to schedule practical activities with other activities outside of practice, discipline is formed both when disciplines students come on time and disciplined in the responsibilities of work when practicing, enjoy work when practice is formed with enthusiasm of students in carrying out practices, supervision and accompaniment of entrepreneurship teacher and business center manager directly in the implementation of practice.
