Abstract
Musculosceletal Disorders are complaints of the skeletal muscle that is felt by a person ranging from mild complaints to severe complaints which generally occur because of too long loading duration and too much streaching of muscles. Musculosceletal Disorders complaints were numbness, pain and swelling that makes a person unable to move resulting in decreased work productivity. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between workload and musculoskeletal disorders on construction laborers at Kalimacan village Sragen Regency. Kalimacan village is a village with a large number of workers in infomal sector which is contruction laborers. The construction laborers has the task of lifting or carriying like cement, stone and sand where the construction laborers on average lift loads of 50-60 kg done repeatedly so that potential for musculosceletal disorders. This study was observational with design used a cross-sectional approach. Population in this study is 179 contruction laborers. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with minimal sample is 84 respondent. The result of the study with Spearman Rank correlation test obtained p-value of 0,001 (p<0,05) which means there is a relationship with an r-value of 0,362 (r+) means low relationship streingt. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between workload and musculoskeletal disorders in construction laborers at Kalimacan village Sragen Regency with low relationship strenght. Suggestion can be given is to reduce the weight of the load carried, change the work attitude form manual to using a tool in the form of a trolleys, do stretches at least 2 minute and take advantage of the best rest time
