Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Net Interest Margin (NIM) ratio, Operational Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), Non Performing Loans (NPL) on the profitability of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data used in this study is the 2017-2019 annual publication financial statements obtained through the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. After purposive sampling, the sample is feasible, and meets the criteria of 14 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results showed that the NIM variable had a positive and significant effect, BOPO had a negative and significant effect, and NPL had a non-significant negative effect on ROA. Meanwhile, based on the F test of the three variables, namely NIM, BOPO, and NPL simultaneously affect profitability.
