Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) Identifying the Form of Language Error in the Field of Morphology in the Use of Affixes in the explanatory text of Grade XI Students of SMK Negeri 1 Pedan. (2) Describe the Form of Language Error in the Field of Morphology Using Affixes in the explanatory text of XI grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Pedan. The data in this study were written by students. The data source in this study analyzes language errors in the use of affixes in the essays of class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Pedan. Data collection uses the note note method. The method used in analyzing data in this study uses the referential equivalent method. Data analysis carried out showed that in writing explanatory text students there were still many mistakes including affix writing which included; prefixes di-, ke-, ter-, me-, -suffix, -ku, -kan, -nya, infix -er-, its confix, ke-nya, di-kan, di-i, its the most widely used errors in affixes used in the explanatory text of class XI students of State Vocational High School 1 Pedan are found in the pre- prefixes.
