Abstract
Musculoskeletal disorders are disruption that are experienced because there is damage to the muscles, joints, cartilages, invertebral discs, nerves, tendons, and ligaments. Disruption can be in the form of muscle damage such as degeneration, muscle tension, and inflammation. While damage to the bones such as microfractors, broken, bruised, or twisted. Informal sector businesses have not paid attention to issues related to ergonomics such as work position, work equipment and adjustments between work equipment. Work posture is one of the factors that can cause musculoskeletal disorders. This study aims to determine the relationship between work posture and musculoskeletal disorders in construction workers in Kalimacan Village. This type of research is observational with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were construction laborers with age over 17 years who did work in the village of Kalimacan and the scope of Kalijambe District with 179 workers, a total of 84 respondents were selected by Simple Random Sampling. Data collection in this study was conducted by interview, observation and measurement of respondents. The results of data analysis based on the Spearman Rank test showed p-value = 0,000 (p-value <0.05), which means there is a relationship between work posture (p = 0,000) with musculoskeletal disorders in construction workers in Kalimacan Village, Kalijambe, Sragen . The value of the closeness of the relationship (r) = 0.446 which means it has a level of close relationship with the direction of a positive relationship.
