Abstract

This study aims to describe the cultivation of religious character through habituation of Dhuha prayer to fourth grade students at Muhammadiyah Plus Elementary School of Malangjiwan. As well as knowing the obstacles and solutions in their implementation. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The validity of the data uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis techniques including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of the study asserted that students can be our people, that is, having good character and virtuous character, besides that, the students can carry out worship seriously because already familiarized in school both Sunnah worship or compulsory worship and can be a good example in the future. Constraints in their implementation arise from the students themselves, family environment, community environment, school environment, and peers. The solution is that students are given guidance or motivation about good religious character and also virtue and importance of Duha prayer so that students can be more animated in carrying out Duha prayer, parents must pay more attention to their children, especially in the cultivation of character education to children and guide in making friends, from the school environment whether the headmaster, teacher, employee should know about religious character and shows the religious character, especially when in the school environment.
