Abstract

The purpose of this study can be (1) Determine the development of video animation animation flood disaster students of class VII MTs Negeri 8 Klaten. (2) Determine the feasibility of geography learning media in the animation learning media material for Grade VII students of MTs Negeri 8 Klaten. (3) Determine the increase in students' motivation in geography learning by using animation media for Grade VII students of MTs Negeri 8 Klaten. The research method is development using a model (Research and development) or R&D. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, lift and test. Based on the assessment of the material experts get an average score of 4.8 which means showing animated videos with flood disaster material got the category of "good", the assessment of media experts got an average score of 4.6 which means showing animated videos with flood disaster material got the category of "good", the teacher gets an average value of 4.42 which means included in the category of "good", and students get an average value of 4.45 which means included in the "good" category. Student learning outcomes in the experimental class with a pres-test value with an average value of 46 and post-test an increase of 86.8. Based on these results indicate that a significant value of 0,000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected, which means there is a difference in the level of understanding between pre-test and post-test in the learning of Flood Disaster animated video in MTSN 8 Klaten, this proves that the mean pretest value of 46,000 and a posttest score of 86.8000 thus it is evident that there is an increase in student motivation in learning flooding using animated video media.
