Abstract

Primary balance is one important component in maintaining the stability of the performance of the state revenue and expenditure budget (APBN). Conditions of primary balance deficit, can risk disruption of fiscal capacity and fiscal needs in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of exports, imports, exchange rates, number of civil servants and total profits of BUMN to the primary balance in Indonesia. The data used in this study are secondary data with time series data from 1994-2018. The analytical method used in this study is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The results of this study indicate that exports, imports and the number of civil servants significantly influence the primary balance. While the exchange rate and the total profit of BUMN do not significantly influence the primary balance in Indonesia
