Abstract
The research aims to describe the forms of advertising that exist on television media and to describe the protection of laws for consumers who consume products in commercials that mislead television media. The approach method used in the study is the normative judiciary approach of finding legal rules, legal principles, and legal doctrines to answer the legal issues at hand. Which in this case is to look at the norms of ads on television media that contain sophistry or negative and are based on law science. This type of research is descriptive in the form of content from an advertisement contained on television compared to a legal concept norm contained in the law regarding advertisements contained in advertisements on television media. The aim is to provide a thorough, systematic reflection of possible regulatory policies that exist in consumer protection. Research shows that many advertisements on television that are not appropriate or contrary to the laws and regulations in force in Indonesia. Whereas consumer's protection of the law has been regulated by applicable laws.
