Abstract

Kampoeng Batik Laweyan has SMEs that produce batik there are 22 SMEs then increase to 51 units in 2008, then in 2020 the number of SMEs become 80 units. The development of these SMEs requires them to find approriate strategies to improve their business. One thing to do is to measure the level of productivity that produce by the SMEs so it can be benchmark to make continous improvement. But in the other hand they also have to think how the waste doesn’t pollute the environment. One of the appropriate strategies so the problem can be resolve is by use the concept of Green Productivity, where the concept of Green Productivity can be use to increase productivity while still care to the environmental conditions. In the Green Productivity there are several concepts, including material management and waste reduction. Its also analyze the environmental performance indicator to see how far SMEs’s activities affect the surrounding enviroment. Based on research that has been done on Batik Hayuningrum and Batik Pandono obtained productivity in September 2019 are: 336% and 229%. After doing material management by adapt the main raw material in the form of candles the productivity of the two SMEs increase to: 358% and 267%. In addition after the application of GP with waste reduction in the form of filtration the environmental performance indicator (EPI) of the two SMEs, which is originally -10.28 and -29.75 increased to -0.57 and -11.49.
