Abstract

Sukoharjo Regency is one of the regencies that have diverse physical physical conditions, where basically the influence of climate in Sukoharjo Regency will affect the distribution of types of vegetation, especially in the plantation sector. In addition, during the period 2010-2017 Sukoharjo Regency had a fluctuating area of plantations and production of estate crops. Various natural factors, especially rainfall that have an impact on plantations, cause many of these plantations to experience paso. With the increase in the intensity of high and low rainfall, Sukoharjo regency experienced drought and flooding to prolonged drought problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the Schmidt-Ferguson climate distribution, to determine the distribution of plantations and to analyze climate zones with plantations. This study uses secondary data methods and observations in the field, where the results of the study show that Sukoharjo Regency is one of the regencies that has a climate type C (rather wet). In addition, Sukoharjo Regency has plantations that are spread out or spread across 12 sub-districts in Sukoharjo Regency, where Polokarto District is the most dominant and dominant plantation area, while the sub-district with almost no plantation area is Gatak District. The relationship of climate zones with plantations, one of which is a well-known commodity among the community is rubber plantations, where rubber plantations are located in Polokarto District with the type of ikim C (rather wet). Rubber plantations can grow in the type of climate C (rather wet) because it has a fairly extensive root system so that in unfavorable land conditions, rubber plantations will continue to grow.
