Abstract
Self myofascial release manual therapy using foam roller / ball to stretch muscles, focus with pressure so that it can reduce pain. Self cervical mobilization joint mobilization to increase limited joint mobility and can reduce pain and contractures in joint capsules. Pain and tension in the neck muscles occur because the muscles receive a continuous load, causing continuous contractions causing mechanical stress to the myofascial tissue. In this study the authors chose to determine the effect of self myofascial release and self cervical mobilization on upper trapezius muscles on neck pain in convection workers. This study uses a quasi-experimental two group design pre-test and post-test design. Sampling using a random technique. Total population of 30 convection and sample workers who met the inclusion criteria were 30 convection workers aged 20-40 years. In this study the measurement of neck pain using NDI (Neck Disability Index) Test of statistical data using univariate and bivariate tests. And using the Shapiro Wilk normality test. Based on statistical test results obtained p> 0.05, which means there is no difference in the average reduction in neck pain between the groups given self-fascism release and the group of self-cervical mobilization at PT. Pradana Mandiri Dinaco, Sragen. the administration of self myofascial release intervention and self cervical mobilization are equally good for reducing neck pain in convection workers.
