Abstract

Changes in land use occur due to population growth factors and population growth which requires additional space for settlements and supporting facilities directly have an impact on increasing population. In the development of land changes will be distributed to certain places that have potential. Temanggung Regency has also been a rapid change in land use within 5 years, from 2012 to 2018. This study aims (1) to analyze the patterns of land use change in Temanggung Regency, (2) find out the factors that influence changes in land use in Temanggung Regency, and (3) knowing the suitability of land use change with the Temanggung Regency RTRW. The method used is a secondary data analysis method and interviews with respondents who have experienced land use changes. The map analysis method uses the results of overlays on maps in 2012 and 2018. The results of this study show the physical land use change of Temanggung Regency from 2012 to 2018, which is 13,193 ha. There are 4 types of land uses that have changed from 2012 to 2018, namely Gardens of 10.934 ha, Settlements of 10.534 ha, Forests of 6,133 ha, and Tegalan of 25,136 ha. Factors affecting changes in land use are population density and population growth in Temanggung Regency. Changes in land use in Temanggung Regency are in accordance with the Temanggung Regency RTRW.
