Abstract

This research tries to know and describe the implementation of Islamic education with environmental insight conducted by Islamic Religious Education teachers and the school culture that cares about the environment in instilling environmental care in students is needed. Like schools that participate in the Adiwiyata program, one of which is SMK Negeri 1 Mojosongo Boyolali, which has become Adiwiyata Mandiri. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in the implementation of environmental education in the Adiwiyata School of State Vocational High School 1 Mojosongo Boyolali and identify the constraints experienced by PAI teachers when implementing environmental education programs. This research is a qualitative research, with data collection through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis uses analytical descriptive, with the conclusion drawing using inductive methods that depart from special events and then translated into general parts. The results obtained from this study the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in developing an environmentally friendly school culture is by integrating PAI with PLH in teaching and learning activities in class, modeling and habituation. PAI teachers can teach environmental education by linking PAI learning materials with environmental education materials. The obstacle experienced by the teacher is that not all learning material can be included in the environment, the majority of male students, I think students' awareness to always save water.
