Abstract

IMPROVEMENT THE SPEAKING SKILLS USING HAND PUPPETS MEDIA IN GROUP B CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN TK TUNAS HARAPAN 01 PARANGJORO, GROGOL, SUKOHARJO AT 2018/2019 ACADEMIC YEAR. Essay. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. August, 2019. This research aimed to improve the speaking skills using hand puppets media in Group B children in Kindergarten Tunas Harapan 01 Parangjoro. Subjects in this research were group B students in Kindergarten Tunas Harapan 01 Parangjoro. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which have done in two cycles with five meetings. The research procedure in each cycle there are several stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The file were collected using observation, interview, documentation, and field notes. The results of the study before the implementation of the cycle amounted to 37.85%, Cycle I amounted to 63.21%, and Cycle II amounted to 89.64%. The conclusion is that the method of storytelling using hand puppets can improve children's speaking skills.
