Abstract

The increase in Indonesia's per capita income from 1990 to 2018 has stagnated. The stagnation of growth is due to the economic activities of the Indonesian state, which has surpassed this, yet cannot be separated from the Middle Income Trap trap. The Middle Income Trap trap limits the challenges determined by time, there is no time limit until whenever the country stops at the level of the middle-income country and then rises to the higher classes. This study aims to analyze economic growth in the middle income trap from the monetary side in Indonesia in 1990-2018 using the Partial Adjustment Model (PAM) regression analysis tool. The results showed that the variable Amount of Money Supply, Inflation and Exchange Rates had a significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia in the Middle Income Trap. While the Interest Rate variable does not significantly influence economic growth in the condition of the middle income trap. Policy recommendations that can be taken by entrusting financial markets and improving the domestic payment system and encouraging global factors by supporting policies in maintaining rupiah stability.
