Abstract

This study is entitled "Analysis of the Role of Macroeconomic Policies on Indonesian Foreign Debt in 1992-2017". This study uses secondary data in the form of time series data from 1992-2017 obtained from the Ministry of Finance, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bank Indonesia (BI) and the World Bank. This study aims to analyze the effect of each independent variable, namely foreign exchange reserves, inflation, exchange rates or exchange rates, interest rates on loans and exports on the dependent variable, namely Indonesia's foreign debt. The analytical tool used in this study is the ECM (Error Correction Model). Based on the results of the ECM analysis shows that in the short term foreign exchange reserve variables and loan interest rates have a significant influence on Indonesia's foreign debt, while in the long run the variables of inflation, exchange rates or exchange rates, loan interest rates and exports have a significant influence on Indonesia's foreign debt.
