Abstract
Cylinder Arm is a cylindrical hydraulic system actuator located on the boom excavator. The function of the cylinder arm is to move forward and reverse the arm. Cylinder Arm includes cylinder head, cylinder body (body), piston rod, piston, o-ring and seal, bushing brake, locking bolt. Arm movement is carried out by Arm Cylinder. This movement system is regulated by an Arm In valve and an Arm Out valve. Arm will make lifting movements if the Arm out valve is open while the Arm In valve is closed. Fluid will flow from the Arm Out valve and push down the Arm Cylinder piston. As for the Arm down movement, the condition of the valve arm in and arm out applies vice versa. As for the damage to the cylinder arm in the form of no power when forwarding the arm backwards, and the cylinder arm has oil seepage on the sidelines of the cylinder head. Based on the results of observations of the cylinder arm, it was found that damage to the hydraulic hose that had leaked, the piston rod that had been hit by scratches, o-rings and seals that had been damaged, the dirtyness of the hydraulic cylinder, the piston which had a scratch. Then the damage can be overcome by welding on the hydraulic hose, and replacing the piston rod components, o-rings and seals, pistons, while cleaning the hydraulic cylinder is sufficient.
