Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out analyse the working capital financing, firmz size, growth, asset tangibility, firm age, leverage, and current ratio has an impact on the profitability of a company sector basic industry and chemical listed in indonesia stock exchange (idx). The population in this study were 73 of the basic and chemical industry sector companies listed on the IDX. The sampel used in this study were 39 companies with a period of 4 years of observation, so obtained 156 sample data. Data sources used from this study are secondary data. The data used in the study are data from the financial statements of basic and chemical industrial sector companies obtained from the website of Indonesia Stock Exchange and Yahoo Finance. Sampling techniques in this study using purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique in this study with a double linear regression. Based on the result of research as follow working capital financing of significant negative effect on profitability, firm size has no effect on profitability, growth has no effect on profitability, asset tangibility has no effect on profitability, firm age has no effect on profitability, leverage has significan positive profitability, and current ratio has no effect on profitability.
