Abstract

This study aims to: (1) To be able to identify the structure that builds the novel Detective Couple by Agatha Christie, (2) To be able to find the manifestations of personality aspects in terms of literary psychology, (3) To be able to find out the results of the research on the personality of the main characters in the novel Pairs of Detectives as literary teaching materials for students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, the research strategy is a fixed case study. Data collection techniques used were literature study, heuristic and hermeneutic techniques. Data validation techniques with theory triangulation. The results of this study are: (1) The structure of the novel builder is depicted using three aspects (physiological, psychological, and sociological), and has a background setting, time setting, and social setting, (2) The personality aspects of the main characters consist of Gapasioneerden (orang hebat), Cholerici (orang garang), Sentimentil (orang perayu)Nerveuzen (orang penggugup), Flegmaticiti (orang tenang), (3) Implementation of research results in learning at KD High School. 3.9 class XII, learning criteria include three aspects, namely language, psychology, and cultural background
