Abstract

Hemodialysis is a treatment in patients with terminal stage chronic kidney failure, so kidney function is replaced by a device called a dialyzer. Here the process of transferring dissolved substances in the blood into dialysis fluid or vice versa. Management of chronic stage renal failure is to provide therapy that can replace kidney function. In addition, adherence to fluid restriction in patients with chronic kidney failure is also very necessary to maintain patient survival as part of the prescription of treatment. Without a restriction of fluid intake, resulting in fluid accumulation and will cause edema around the body. This condition makes blood pressure increase and worsen heart work. This study aims to determine the relationship of fluid restriction compliance with blood pressure in hemodialysis patients at RSUD Ir. Soekarno, Sukoharjo Regency. This research is a correlative descriptive study. The population in this study was 176 patients who underwent hemodialysis therapy at Ir.Soekarno Regional Hospital, Sukoharjo Regency. The sample used was 64 patients with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis uses the Chi-Square formula. The results of this study showed the majority of patients with adherence to obedient fluid restriction were 33 respondents and the majority of 31 respondents in the category of hypertension II in systolic blood pressure. Patients with diastolic blood pressure had obedient levels of obedient fluid restriction of 36 respondents with a majority of 24 respondents in the category of hypertension II. Chi-Square statistical test results obtained the value of p = 0.029 and p = 0.041 with a significant value of p <0.05. There is a relationship between adherence to fluid restrictions on blood vessels of hemodialysis patients in Ir. Soekarno Regional Hospital, Sukoharjo Regency. Suggestions for further researchers are expected to expand the study population not only in one hospital, but can research in all hospitals in the Sukoharjo region.
