Abstract

Good economic development is an achievement that every region in Indonesia wants to obtain. However, with economic growth, uneven investment allocations in some regions, low levels of factor mobility between regions, Provincial Minimum Wages that differ between regions, will cause imbalances and differences in income between regions. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of economic growth, Foreign Investment (PMA), Domestic Investment (PMDN) and Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) on Inequality Income Between Regions in the Java Islands. This study uses secondary data in the form of panel data consisting of a 2012-2018 time cross and a cross location of 6 Provinces in the Java Islands. The approach method used to estimate the panel data regression model with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results show that the Foreign Investment variable has a significant negative effect on Inter-Regional Income Inequality with a probability value of 0.0267. While the Provincial Minimum Wage also has a significant positive effect on the Regional Atar Inequality Variable with a probability value of 0.0301. The coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) of 0.997850 means that 99.78% of the income inequality variable between regions can be explained by the Economic Growth variable, the Foreign Investment variable, and the Domestic Investment variable and the Provincial Minimum Wage variable. The rest, 0.22%, is influenced by variables or other factors not included in the model.
