Abstract

This research aims to analyse the patterns of poverty concentration and its relation to population, geographical difficulty index, and inequality in Wonogiri district. The data used is the secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics agency, the national Team website Accelerating Poverty Reduction (TNP2K), and the website of SMERU Research Institute. The data in this study used cross section data consisting of 25 sub-districts in Wonogiri 2015. The research uses the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method. Dependent variables are poverty and independent are the population, the geographical difficulty index, and the inequality. The results showed that: the population variable has a positive and significant effect on poverty, variable index geographical difficulties negatively affect and insignificant to poverty, variable inequality negative and significant influence on poverty, variable population counts, geographical difficulty indices, and simultaneous inequality affect poverty in Wonogiri district.
