Abstract

The research aims to analyse the labor force's added pattern and its exposure level in the industrial sector in Central Java. The dependent variable is the absorption of the working force of the industrial sector in Central Java and its independent variables are PMA investments, PMDN investment, total business, provincial minimum wage, inflation and economic growth. The data used is secondary data obtained from the website of the Central Statistical Agency (BPS) and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). The data in this study uses time series data which is data according to time for 25 years (1993-2017). The research uses the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method. The results showed that the PMA investment variables, the number of businesses, the inflation and economic growth are negative and insignificant. While the investment variables of PMDN and provincial minimum wages are negatively and significantly influential. PMA Investment variables, PMDN investment, amount of effort, provincial minimum wage, inflation and economic growth simultaneously affect the absorption of the workforce of industrial sectors in Central Java.
