Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of macro variables and internal variables on banking on the profitability of Bank Muamalat Indonesia. The population used for this study is Bank Muamalat whose financial statements have been published from 2013-2019. This research data uses secondary data from the website of the relevant bank, and also Bank Indonesia, the Central Statistics Agency, and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that Inflation, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Exchange Rate, and Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificates (SBIS) have no significant effect on the profitability of Bank Muamalat, and Operational Costs on Operating Income (BOPO) have a significant effect with a negative direction on the profitability of Bank Muamalat. Keywords: Inflation, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Exchange Rate (IDR / US $), Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificate (SBIS), Operational Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), Profitability (ROA), Bank Muamalat, Ordinary Least Square (OLS).
