Abstract
This study aims to (1) find out the relationship between work stress and work motivation in employees (2) determine the effective contribution of work stress to work motivation in employees (3) measure employee work motivation levels (4) measure employee work stress levels. The method used in this study is a quantitative method, collecting data using the Job Stress Scale and Work Motivation Scale. The subjects of this study were employees of the Sewing division of PT. Dan Liris with a population of 7,200 employees. Based on the results of the validity test there are 1 items fall, 39 items are valid on the work stress scale and on the work motivation scale there are 1 items fall and 29 items are valid. The product moment correlation results obtained a correlation coefficient of -0,527 and a significance of 0,000 which means there is a very significant negative relationship between work stress and work motivation. The level of work stress variable is moderate with an Empirical Average of 89.32 and a Hypothetical Average of 97. While the variable level of work motivation is also relatively high with an Empirical Average of 79.30 and a Hypothetical Average of 72.5. The amount of work stress contribution to work motivation is 27.73%.
