Abstract
The library is an information service provider institution in the form of papers, printed works, and recorded works. In Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura High School there are libraries where data management is still manual, causing problems such as the number of books that are unknown and the process of lending book services cannot be done as a whole. From these problems the author has the idea to create a library management information system with the aim to facilitate managing data books and accelerate the process of lending book services so as to make the library an innovative and educative place. In making the system the author utilizes web-based information and communication technology and Quick Response (QR) code technology. In this study the authors used the System Development Cycle (SDLC) method with the Waterfall model, which was created using a Lenovo S210 laptop, Sublime Text 3, Xampp Control Panel v3.2.2, and Firefox Browser. The results of this study are QR code-based management information systems, to ensure that the system created can run well the authors do testing with the black-box method and testing on the QR code gets the results that the best distance for the code reading process is 30 cm with dim lighting , bright and very bright. In the last stage the author conducted a test for teachers and students at Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura High School by holding questionnaires and getting 87.99% of students and 90% results by teachers, this shows that the system is feasible to use. So it can be concluded that the research carried out can have a positive impact, which can facilitate data management and improve the quality of learning.
