Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to; a) describe the form of politeness in the language of students and teachers in learning Indonesian in junior high school; b) describe the form of impoliteness of students and teachers in learning Indonesian in junior high school. This research uses descriptive-qualitative design. Data collection used in this study is listening or listening techniques by listening when students with teachers and students with other students use words and sentences that are categorized as polite and not polite. The techniques used in data collection are free engagements, competent recording techniques and note taking techniques. The research results obtained are; a) the form of politeness in the language of students and teachers in learning Indonesian in junior high schools where there is compliance with the principle of politeness in the maxim of wisdom because speakers try to reduce the losses of others and maximize the profits of others; b) the manifestation of impoliteness of students and teachers in learning Indonesian in junior high school namely the direct threatening utterance is a form of direct impoliteness strategy. This utterance occurs between students and students during the learning process in class.
