Abstract

This study has two objectives, (1) to describe and explain the form of language errors in the Kontan Tabloid in the June-September 2019 Edition Business column. (2) to describe and explain the analysis of the forms of language errors in the KontanTabloid in the June-September 2019 Edition Business column. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data source in this study is the June-September 2019 edition of the Cash Tabloid. The data are in the form of language errors in the Kontan Tabloid in the June-September 2019 Edition Business column. Data collection techniques in this study are to use the refer method and follow up using the record method. Data analysis techniques using the method of matching and agitating. The results of research on language error analysis in the Cash Tabloid in the business column can be divided into four forms of error. (1) Errors in the phonology field consist of phoneme removal errors, phoneme changes, addition of vowel or consonant phonemes, and italics. (2) Mistakes in the field of morphology consist of word order, derivation, diction, contamination, and pleonasm (3) syntactic field errors related, for example with (1) non-standard structured sentences, (2) ambiguous sentences, (3) unclear sentences , (4) improper diction in forming sentences, (5) sentence contamination, (6) coherence, (7) redundant use of words, (8) improper absorption words in forming sentences, and (9) logic and (4) Semantic field errors related to word meanings.
