Abstract

This research aims to; (1) develop underground river mock-up instructional media for class X IPS students at SMA Negeri 1 BanyudonoBoyolali Regency on the hydrosphere material (Sub-Chapter of River Flow Patterns); (2) test the effectiveness of the use of underground river mock teaching media on the learning outcomes of students of class X IPS at SMA Negeri 1 BanyudonoBoyolali Regency on the hydrosphere material (Section Chapter on River Flowing Patterns). This research was a R&D (Research and Development) study that used the design model of Dick and Carrey's design, ADDIE. The design used was pre-experimental, in the form of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques used were documentation, observation, questionnaires, and tests.The results showed that; (1) developed an underground river mock instructional media for students of class X IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Banyudono, Boyolali Regency on the hydrosphere material (Sub-Chapter of River Flow Patterns). This development steps was to test the instrument need of teacher and student, develop product design designs, create learning design, validate matery and media experts, apply validated product, spread questionnaires to perfect the final product. The result of the validation test of matery experts and media experts have an average value of 4,71 which was included in the “very good” category; (2) Obtained an average pretest score of 62.80 and an average posttest score of 80.96. n increase in the average value of 18.16 or 29,6%. This can be proven also from the result of the t-test, where the significance value of 0,000, which means <0.05. So it can be interpreted that the instructional media of underground river mockups improved student learning outcomes of class X IPS in SMA Negeri 1 Banyudono, Boyolali Regency on hydrosphere material (Sub-Chapter of River Flow Patterns).
