Abstract

Blora Islamic Center is a center for the activities of Muslims in worship, education and religious development in the city of Blora. Where it has its main function is for worship and educational activities. Blora Islamic Center supports the existence of Great Mosque in the city of Blora as a means of religious education. In addition, the reason for the Islamic Center is the main thing is the city of Blora the majority of the population adhering to Islamic religion while the means and identity that supports the activities of Muslims do not exist. The discussion is done by a descriptive method, namely by collecting, displaying, comparing and analyzing data so that a planning and design approach is obtained to be used in drafting basic planning concepts. Blora Islamic Center used the concept of design emphasis on Islamic geometry on the interior and exterior of the building to the layout of the building, where each geometric shape used has a philosophical Islam. This building will be the identity or icon of religious building in the city of Blora which has symbolic elements in the form of Islamic geometry applied, so that it is a characteristic that distinguishes the building with its similar buildings.
