Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) Developing eclipse analog instructional media on solar system material in class X SMA N Colomadu Karanganyar (2) Knowing the increase of learning test on solar system material using eclipse instructional media. This research was R&D (Research and Development) study that used the Dick & Carry development design model, namely ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The design was pre-experimental, in the form of One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. Data collection techniques were documentation, observation, tests, and questionnaires. The prerequisite test for data analysis uses validity, normality and reliability test. The data analysis uses the T-test to answer the hypothesis. The results showed that (1) Development of an eclipse analog instructional media through the stages of test needs of teachers and students, designing eclipse analog media product by making sketches on a drawn and colored plastic ball and given a light on the sun ball, developing analog media with perfecting the product that was eclipse analog media and tested by material experts and media experts, the implementation of analog media was addressed to students of class X IPS 2 SMA N Colomadu in the form of experimental research that was assessing developed products, the evaluation stage was carried out by distributing product assessment questionnaires to class students X IPS 2 Colomadu SMA N (2) T-Test, pretest and posttest results showed a significant value of 0,000 which means <0.05. This decision could be taken that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The calculation results show that there are significant differences before and after using an eclipse analog instructional media, indicated by an average pretest value of 66.83 and an average posttest value of 85.00. means that the eclipse analog instructional media can improve learning on the material of the solar system in the life space at SMA N Colomadu. Learning in class X IPS 2 had increased by 18.17% after using an eclipse analog instructional media
