Abstract

The purpose of this research is 1) Describe the role of extracurricular activities in increasing students' soft skills, 2) Describe the supporting and inhibiting factors of extracurricular activities in increasing students' soft skills, 3) to Describe find out what is done in overcoming problems of extracurricular activities in increasing students' soft skills. This type of research is a qualitative study using descriptive design and data collection methods using interviews, observation and documentation and data analysis techniques using interactive data analysis techniques models from Miles and Huberman. Showing that scout extracurricular activities can improve students' soft skills by 18% communication, critical thinking & problem solving 13%, 17% collaboration, lifelong learning 18%, ethics, morals & professionals 17%, and leadership 18%. Football extracurricular activities can also increase student soft skills by 18% communication. critical thinking & problem solving 13%, cooperation 15%, lifelong learning 20%, ethics, morals & professional 17%, and leadership 18%. But there are still factors that hamper the facilities and infrastructure in the form of a football field that is still borrowing a village field, as well as scout equipment equipped by students of SD Negeri 1 Asemrudung.
